Examples of this: the music loops, but there's an obvious gap in the loop (at least on the Switch version), and you can get stuck by some of the puzzles, resulting in having to quit to the main menu and restart from the last save. The game is also a bit buggy and unpolished. It's just overall lacking in any sort of depth. For example, the progression is limited to just gaining experience for some battles (but not others), no real abilities gained aside from about 3-4 (1 heal, 1 summon, and 1 magic attack total between two characters, in addition to basic attack), no real loot (there's actually not much at all in the way of an inventory), and battles are pretty basic. However, I found the gameplay very basic. Have to say that the premise of evolving game tech is interesting, and the story is entertaining and has throwbacks to other popular games. I just played this game last week, after getting it a while back on a previous sale.
