I do not understand why there isn't a tech tree or any kind of in-game database. The mod tools as they exist now are essentially useless outside of obtaining unit stats - which I suppose is useful, but mostly because the game lacks any kind of documentation or in-game tech tree that would otherwise provide some of this information in more ergonomic form.
